The Bollinger Group brings together Houses and estates with unique know-how and heritage, but which all share the same demand for quality: to produce top-of-the-range wines and spirits with a unique and recognisable style.

Champagnes

AYALA

Founded in 1860 by Edmond de Ayala, the House is located in the heart of the grands crus, close to the village of Aÿ. A pioneer in introducing a drier style, Ayala shatters the codes by launching a highly successful “dry champagne” in 1865. In 2005 the Bollinger family acquired the estate with a view to awaking this sleeping beauty. Under the impetus of a new team, Ayala proclaims its style around the Chardonnay grape variety. Each cuvée expresses the elegance of this emblematic grape variety, blended with finesse and purity.

BOLLINGER

Founded in 1829 in the village of Aÿ, Champagne Bollinger developed its vineyards in the heart of the best crus in Champagne. 85% of the 179 hectares belonging to the House are Grands crus and Premiers crus. Champagne Bollinger produces fine wines with a refined style, marked by the elegance of Pinot Noir, a demanding grape that forms the backbone of each wine. This unique taste is also the result of traditional know-how and craftsmanship, such as vinification in small oak barrels. Champagne Bollinger has held the prestigious Royal Warrant, the official supplier to the Court of England since 1884, and has been James Bond’s official champagne since 1979.

Champagne Bollinger has been a member of the Colbert committee since 1965.

Wines

CHANSON

Located in the heart of a remarkable 43-hectare estate, Chanson has been producing and maturing its wines in the centre of Beaune since 1750. The House positions itself as a specialist in « Premiers Crus » of the Côte de Beaune, including the Monopole Clos des Fèves. Chanson is first and foremost a style, with clean, complex wines that aim to faithfully reflect the typicality and character of each terroir. The estate joined the Bollinger Group in 1999.

LANGLOIS

Founded in 1885, the House operates a 62-hectare vineyard in the Crémant de Loire and Saumur appellations, which is produced organically or is currently converting to organic. Acquired by the Bollinger Group in 1973, Langlois is renowned for its collection of Crémants de Loire, sparkling wines made using the traditional method, with requirements that go well beyond the standards of the appellation.

PONZI

For its first acquisition in the United States in 2021, the Bollinger Group chose Oregon and its land of pinots noirs, a grape variety that is strongly embedded in its DNA. The vineyard is one of the country’s best wine producers and is a benchmark for the use of pinot noir and chardonnay. Leading the field in viticultural innovation, Ponzi Vineyards is a great example of sustainable wine production.

HUBERT BROCHARD

Made up of 90 hectares of sancerre and pouilly Fumé appellations, the estate was founded in 1900 by Aimée and Hubert Brochard in Chavignol. Managed by the family for five generations, it extends over the best sancerre terroirs, a leading region for sauvignon blanc. The estate joined the Bollinger Group in 2022 with an excellence project, namely that of repositioning itself on a traditional, high-end network.

Spirits

ANAË

Revealed in September 2021, Anaë is the first organic French gin to be distilled using artisan techniques and bottled in the Charente. It is one of the rare gins to be made from grapes. Launched as an intra-company, Anaë gin is highly transparent with demanding specifications that include the selection of French ingredients and local production. A framework that reflects the quest for excellence and authenticity shared by all the Houses in the Bollinger family-owned group.

DELAMAIN

A true institution in the field of cognac since the 18th century, Delamain is the guardian of a way of thinking and living cognac. With artistry and patience, it creates unique prestige cognacs. Delamain is the only cognac house to select its eaux-de-vie exclusively from the region’s first and best cru: Grande Champagne, an exceptional and particularly demanding terroir, and to patiently age them over several decades to reveal their incredible potential.

The Delamain cognac house has been a member of the Colbert committee since 2021.

Distribution affiliates

In order to consolidate its presence in its two major markets, France and England, the Bollinger Group has chosen to integrate two distribution companies: Bollinger Diffusion and Mentzendorff.

PARIS

BOLLINGER DIFFUSION

“The constant quest for excellence has been instilled in us by the Houses that we represent”. Bollinger Diffusion is the distribution company in France responsible for marketing the wines of the Bollinger group to major hotels, restaurants, wine merchants and other luxury stakeholders. All the wines, champagnes and spirits sold by Bollinger Diffusion, along with the Bollinger group brands, share common values: authenticity, quality and high standards. Bollinger Diffusion officially became part of the Bollinger group in 1969.

LONDON

MENTZENDORFF

Drawing on three centuries of history, Mentzendorff is one of the UK’s oldest importers and distributors of wines and spirits.

Since 1858, the company has worked alongside the Bollinger Group, which it eventually joined in 1960 to support the deployment of the Houses on this market.
